Recreational Gymnastics Program

All Starz Academy offers recreational gymnastics classes for boys and girls ranging in age from 5 to 18. Recreational gymnasts practice on all of the Junior Olympic Apparatus’ – vault, bars, beam, & floor. They also learn skills on the trampoline, tumble trak, air trak, & different developmental mats & equipment.

Emphasis is placed on learning new skills/routines for the Star Incentive Program, as well as reinforcing good basic fundamentals. Strong emphasis is placed on body awareness & safety.

At the start of each class, a coach will lead one or more groups out into the workout area for warm-up. Every week the students will perform a different fun warm-up including cardio, flexibility, & strength training. Next, the students will be split up into smaller groups & sent to work on the different pieces of equipment with the coaches. Each week the students will practice on two to four different events (depending on the length of the class). Every 15 to 30 minutes, the groups will rotate to a different event & will practice with a different coach(es).

No experience is necessary to join our beginner recreational classes. Children don’t have to be able to perform amazing skills or have the perfect body to participate. Every student is placed in a class with other children who are close to their age & ability. They will learn & progress at their own rate. The training the students receive now will not only increase their strength, endurance, coordination, flexibility, etc.., but will also improve personal areas such as self confidence, discipline, & dedication. These are valuable traits which they will use throughout their entire life.

	White Beltz: Twinklerz & Sparklerz 75 min. once per week		Brown Beltz: Super Novaz Boys 120 mins. twice per week
	Red Beltz: Shooting Starz 90 min. once per week		Purple Beltz: Star Lightz 120 min. twice per week
	Orange Beltz: Cometz 105 min. once per week		Peach Beltz: Star Burstz 135 min. twice per week
	Green Beltz: Micro Starz 90 min. twice per week		Rockstarz: No Beltz 90 min. once per week
	Blue Beltz: Super Starz 90 min. twice per week		Star Choice: No Beltz 60 min. once per week
	Magenta Beltz: Rizing Starz 120 min. twice per week		Star Shaperz: No Beltz 60 min. once per week
	Navy Blue Beltz: Asteroids Boys 90 mins. once per week		League Team - Levels 1-3 60 min. once per week

All Students in our recreational classes are invited to participate in our annual Cartoon Classic Gymnastic Competition held at All Starz each spring. Every participating gymnast wins four rosette ribbons & an all around medal.

Every year in the spring, students who are ready are promoted from the purple, magenta, and peach belts to the All Starz Competitive Team. Students are chosen based on their skills, strength, form, flexibility, & dedication.
